Pack your sunscreen, towel and swimsuit and leave Costa Brava behind for a fun day at Marineland water park! At this family-friendly theme park, interact with dolphins, seals, penguins and other marine animals and experience a variety of amazing rides and entertaining shows. Watch the impressive tricks of sea lions, dolphins and exotic birds; feel the rush of adrenaline on the water slides; or, for a more relaxing experience, head to the aquariums or the Mini Park area, perfect for the little ones.

Spend a refreshing, educational and fun-filled day at Marineland! After pickup from your selected location in Costa Brava, relax on a comfortable coach drive to the family-friendly Marineland water park. When you arrive, enjoy approximately six hours to explore at your leisure.

See Marineland's stars, the bottlenose dolphins, as they spin, dance and interact with their trainers during their daily show at the ‘dolphinarium.’ Marineland is very committed to protecting this species of dolphin, and more than 10 bottlenose dolphins are born on the park's premises each year!

Next, see California sea mammals at the Sea Lion Exhibition, and continue to the Exotic Birds area to get up-close looks at macaws, cockatoos, sacred ibis, kookaburras and other exotic birds. Admire their vibrant colors and impressive skills during a live show.

Then, it's time for some action! Practice some surfing in the wave pool; slide down the waterslides; and race your family and friends at the Crazy Race. Feel your adrenaline rush as you zoom down the 39-foot long (12-meter) Black Hole tunnel slides and the zigzag slides of Kamikaze!

For some family fun in a calmer environment, head to Mini Park, where the pools and mini- slides are designed for small children. When you are ready for a break, grab a snack at one of the cafĂ©s (own expense); visit the gift shop; or relax under the shade of a tree. At the end of the day, you’ll be taken back to Costa Brava.

Gibraltar Dolphin Cruise with Transport from Costa del Sol

Location: Costa del Sol, Spain
Duration:
12 hours
Price:
Starting from $65.73 per person

Highlights

Take a break from Costa del Sol and visit the waters of Gibraltar to spot wild dolphins on a 1.5-hour dolphin cruise! Limited to just 25 people, the sightseeing cruise boat follows a route around the waters of Gibraltar’s Marina Bay where families of bottlenose, common and striped dolphins are known to breed. After the cruise, enjoy free time in Gibraltar for lunch (own expense) or to lounge on a sunny beach before returning to Costa del Sol.

Start your day with a pickup from your Costa del Sol hotel, and then travel south by air-conditioned coach to Gibraltar, approximately 2.5 hours away. After a drop-off near Marina Bay, meet your local guide and hop aboard your sightseeing boat for your 1.5-hour dolphin cruise around the waters of Gibraltar.

Take an outside seat on deck and start looking out for the wild dolphins that leap around the sparkling waters. Whole families of dolphins often visit the bay, so your chance of seeing them is great. Even better, your boat is limited to 25 people, meaning you’ll enjoy unobstructed views from your boat. Have your camera ready to capture some incredible shots!

Listen to commentary as you cruise, learning about the waters of Gibraltar and the dolphins that make the sea their home. The balmy Mediterranean climate and large shoals of sardines, herrings and squid have long attracted dolphins to the area, and it’s now a famous breeding ground for at least three different species: bottlenose, common and striped.

After cruising around the coastline, return to port and step back onto dry land. Then, enjoy roughly two hours at leisure before your transfer back to Costa del Sol. Perhaps use your free time to enjoy lunch at one of Gibraltar’s many alfresco restaurants (own expense), or soak up the sun on a Gibraltar beach like sandy Eastern Bay.

Return to your coach at the pre-arranged time, and then travel along the coast to Costa del Sol. Your day trip finishes with a drop-off at your Costa del Sol hotel.
