Sounds like our kinda hotel!
You’ll also be glad to hear the staff are friendly, which can be the difference between a ‘good’ or ‘bad’ experience.
LA QUINTA INN & SUITES
If you still want a touch of luxury without the sky-high prices, La Quinta Inn & Suites is your best bet.
These suites are located at 7115 Coastal Palms Blvd, just off Thomas Drive. You don’t get ocean views, but you’re still within walking distance from the beach.
And the best thing? It’s pet-friendly!
That means you can bring your furry friend along for the ride.
…but expect to pay a $20 pet fee.
After digging a little deeper, we wanted to find out what others thought of this accommodation. One of the most complimented aspects is the comfortable beds.
There is also a fitness room with a treadmill, weight machines, and an exercise bike.
Once you’ve worked up a sweat and showered, you can head outside to the swimming pool to cool off and relax.
There is also a jacuzzi.

This shopping mall has many big brands such as Victoria Secret, Target, American Eagle, and more.
The most famous surf shop – Ron Jon Surf Shop – can also be found inside. Our advice!? Pick up some surfboards and wetsuits, so you can catch some waves later in the day.
While entertaining yourself with the newest fashion, you can also enjoy a meal thanks to the many restaurants at Pier Park.

Pier Park Pall is also home to The Sky Wheel.

While not as popular as Pier Park Mall, Shoppes At Edgewater is definitely worth a visit while in Panama City Beach.
You can go shopping.
…or try your luck at an escape room.
Not feeling in much of an ‘escape room’ mood? That’s fine! There is also a bowling alley, so you can challenge your friends to a game.
Once you’ve had some fun, you can indulge in some of the mouth-water restaurants. Shoppes At Edgewater is more geared towards dining and activities, rather than clothes shopping.
With that being said, there are some basic shops.
How To Have A Blast At Panama City Beach
Enjoy The Beautiful Beaches
There’s a reason Panama City ‘Beach’ has a 4.8-star rating on Google. If not for the crystal clear waters and flawless white sand – then the dazzling sunsets.
Most people visit during the Summer months (May-August).
But we recommend heading to Panama City Beach in September. There are fewer people, but still loads to do!
If you’re traveling with friends, don’t skip out on some volleyball. There are numerous nets along the beach, allowing you to show your friends who’s boss!
Do you prefer something more relaxing?
No problem!
Panama City Beach has a large fishing pier, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the views (while catching some big a** fish).
The pier spans a whopping 1500 feet. It’s also the best place in Panama City Beach to watch the sunset (or sunrise!).
Get Your Adrenaline Up With Jet Skiing
Jet skiing is super popular in Florida. Panama City Beach has numerous jet ski rental companies, so you can get the adrenaline pumping!
Do you need a rental company you can count on!?
Then head over to 5611 US-98 for the best jet ski company in town – Freedom Water Sports.
They offer 3 main packages…
- 1-hour excursion ($99/hour)
- 2-hour excursion ($125)
- Unguided jet ski rentals ($125)
…but don’t get excited just yet.
Before you can operate a jet ski, you will need to pass a test. If you’ve completed this already, then congratulations – you can jump the queue!
The good news is that this test can be taken online.

It also only sets you back $8.99, which is a bargain!
Once you’ve completed the test, it’s time to hit the water! If it’s your first time on a jet ski, we recommend sticking with the guided tours.
This means you will always have somebody there to lend a helping hand.
Once you get your experience up, unguided tours offer a sense of adventure that can’t be matched.
